We will create a safe and inclusive space that empowers women to embrace their unique voices, pursue their dreams, and break down barriers. Through inspiring speakers, education, music, and meaningful connections, we will ignite a spark within each of you, ultimately fostering personal growth, confidence, and a sense of sisterhood and solidarity among our community. Nourish Our Roots Festival (NOR) will be an event rich in culture and innovation, which will be reflected in the companies, products and influences that will be a part of our daylong event. The NOR experience extends beyond the traditional festival expectations. We will take a step back to revive all of the teachings of our grandmothers and ancestors while infusing modern technologies, enterprise and education focusing on the black women in Florida and beyond.

It’s was a Monday morning and we, a bunch of unstoppable black women, are having a heart-to-heart about our identities. As we shared our stories, we realized that our ancestors’ and elders’ invaluable wisdom was at risk of being forgotten. Plus, let’s talk about the elephant in the room: the unfair treatment of black mothers and the healthcare inequities that plague our community. We knew we had to take action. That’s when lightning struck and we hatched a plan to launch Nourish Our Roots Festival, a day dedicated to celebrating and uplifting black girl magic. We’re beyond pumped to come together, share our journeys, and be each other’s hype squad. It’s high time we reconnected with our roots and shower ourselves with the love we rightfully deserve!!
